Dominique Olsen
Dominique started in healthcare as a registered nurse in 2009. Graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and worked at one of Sydney’s leading hospitals, Royal Prince Alfred. To further her tertiary education Dominique obtained a Master in Advanced Nursing (MAdvN) with a sub-major in perioperative nursing. Cardiothoracic surgery became her speciality area where she was scouted to co-convene at the Australian and New Zealand Society of Cardiac & Thoracic Surgeons (ANZSCTS) annual conference – nurses training day. Among her management and education roles as a nurse Dominique established the opportunity for nurses to have a wet lab introduced into this training program, which continues to this day.

Seeking to expand her experience into preventative health, Dominique moved forward to study at the Endeavour College of Natural Health. Graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc) Acupuncture, she is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Following her studies in predominantly Chinese techniques of acupuncture Dominique completed post-graduate education in Japanese styles of acupuncture. Three specialty areas of her post-graduate education include traditional Japanese meridian and needle therapy, traditional Japanese moxibustion and the Japanese plus-minus school of polarity medicine. The post-graduate mentorship was led by Paul Movsessian, a pioneer in establishing Japanese styles of acupuncture in Australia. Also during her post-grad she had the opportunity to be mentored by Michelle Corban, an accomplished practitioner of 30 years.

Dominique continues to practice with Michelle in Neutral Bay and also runs her own clinic in the Blue Mountains. Dominique is grateful to be able to bring her expertise and experience from both the western and eastern models of medicine to assist her patients in achieving their health goals.
